These are a few programs that I enjoy the most. A brief description, then the file itself will be available for download.
All downloads require Winzip. Version 7.0 is recommended.
Mech Works

This program has an extensive database of 'Mechs up to 3055, printable record sheets for all 'Mechs in the database, and easy to follow creation for you own 'Mechs or to create your own variants of existing 'Mechs. When it comes down to it, this is the program you want when you don't to whip out the pen to fill in those generic sheets.

Mech 1.12
This is a good (and very basic) game for people who love the board game. It has a pretty good rules system, and supports a variety of 'Mechs. I haven't really tinkered with it very much, but I do play around with it to keep myself thinking with the tactics of BattleTech. It allows you to build your own maps, set all the 'Mechs in various beginning positions, and create your own MechWarriors. All of which allows for a unique way of creating your own scenarios for the game.
BattleTech Vehicle Designer
This one is largely untested by myself. We'll see, though, 'cause I can't stand putting something here that I don't know how to use. I've looked at it, and it seems pretty sound. If you like using vehicles in your battles, then try this one out.
